Reduce the clutter, reuse the joy, and replay the fun! Join us in making sustainability a part of every playtime adventure.

At Mangawhai Toy Library, we've got everything kids would need from Duplo, dress-ups, ride-ons, puzzles, music, train sets, role play, and more.

We work just like a book library, but for toys. For an affordable annual membership fee, with lots of benefits- 

  • Cheaper than buying toys yourself
  • Kids learn through play
  • Less broken toys in landfill
  • Toys by age and interest, as your kids grow over time
  • Once a toy has been explored it doesn’t clutter your home but is returned and replaced by more playing fun
  • A cool way to keep children entertained while teaching them about sharing, borrowing and reusing.

 

Membership Options:

Memberships are 6 monthly, sign ups taken at any time in the year. 

Duty Membership - $60 for 6 months, minimum two duties

Non-duty Membership - $80 for 6 months

Casual Membership - $40 for 4 hires (NOTE: This can only be purchased ONCE per year - if you wish to hire again within the year, you will be asked to sign up.)

Membership is paid upfront, before borrowing toys.

Duties are to be written on the roster in the shed. 

 

Borrowing Toys:

Each family may borrow 5 toys or puzzles. You may borrow the toys for two weeks.

We do not charge per toy and all prices include batteries for the toys. 

 

How to Join:

Join the Toy Library today by selecting the 'Join Now' button and completing the online form. Alternatively, you can come into the library during one of our sessions. Membership payment is to be made by direct debit. No cash please.

Membership needs to be paid before borrowing toys.

 

Operating hours:

We are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. We are closed on school holidays. We post our unexpected closure times on our Facebook page.
